From learner to leader: Woxsen alumnus returns to inspire the next generation of marketers
At Woxsen University, we understand that the value of education is not a one-way journey; it’s a circle of learning, leadership and the legacy that follows.
This belief turned real when, on Friday, 26 September, one of our alumni, Mr Eshith Karnam, a Programme Manager at Amazon, came back to his college and gave a guest lecture for our BBA students.
In my Sales and Distribution Strategies module, Eshith brought live on-the-ground perspectives of the role of sales frameworks, distribution flexibility and customer-centric innovation based on his experience from one of the most powerful e-commerce platforms in the world. It was not simply an educational session; it was a transformative one.
Among the highlights: His deep dive into Amazon Tez, a quick commerce effort now rolling out in parts of India. The students inquired into how teZ uses hyperlocal logistics, predictive demand modelling, as well as frictionless UX to reinvent last-mile delivery. It was a crossover of theory and practice that drove independent critical thinking between what speed, scale, and sustainability meant in digital retail.
And what made this session different was the emotion. Eshith had been a student in my MBA classroom, and there he was, before an entirely new group of students, serving as a role model for the results we aim to achieve: ethical leaders who can think strategically and have an impact on industry.
This is a testimony to Woxsen’s experiential pedagogy, alumni connect and future-ready education. It also reflects EFMD’s global orientation, commitment to quality and diversity of stakeholders.
And as we work to forge new bridges from the classroom into industry, moments like this remind us that education is more than a process of instruction: It’s a catalyst for lifelong transformation.
