Five programmes join the EFMD Accredited community; five others achieve re-accreditation

We are delighted to announce that five programmes at Hochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Germany), UNE Business School, University of New England (Australia), the Indian Institute of Management Jammu (India), and La Salle International School of Commerce and Digital Economy (Spain), have received EFMD Programme Accreditation.    

In their assessment, the EFMD Programme Accreditation Board noted several positive aspects of these management programmes, including strong connections with practice, international dimensions, student-centred learning environments, high-quality pedagogy, and robust infrastructure.

Hochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Osnabrück), founded in 1971, is one of Lower Saxony’s largest universities of applied sciences, hosting over 14,000 students across its four faculties and the Institute of Music. With campuses in Osnabrück (Westerberg and Haste) and Lingen, the university offers more than 100 practice-oriented bachelor’s, master’s, and continuing education programmes across engineering, business, agriculture, social sciences, design, and music.

Known for strong industry links and applied research—especially in energy systems, healthcare informatics, precision farming, and design—Osnabrück UAS emphasises innovation through real-world collaborations. It is also a member of UAS7, a network of leading German universities of applied sciences.

International Management B.A.

Hochschule Osnabrück’s International Management B.A is an English‑taught, six‑semester programme that combines broad business administration training with an international focus, including a mandatory semester abroad at one of over 100 partner universities, and instruction in at least one additional foreign language. It equips graduates with intercultural communication, language, and responsible decision‑making skills for roles as junior managers in international companies or organisations.

The EFMD Programme Accreditation Board recognised several notable strengths in commending the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, including its international dimension and learning of the Programme and the strategic connections with practice.

UNE Business School, University of New England

UNE Business School at the University of New England in Armidale is regionally based and globally connected, offering research-informed education with practical, commercial, and sustainable impact. It delivers flagship degrees in accounting, agribusiness, business, economics, management, marketing, human resources, finance, and leadership. Students benefit from flexible learning—on-campus or fully online—and enjoy strong student satisfaction, consistently earning five stars in the Good Universities Guide.

With broad industry partnerships, a focus on sustainable and policy-relevant research, and programmes aligned with responsible management principles, UNE Business School equips graduates to drive positive regional, national, and global change.

Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Agribusiness

The Bachelor of Business at UNE equips students with a broad foundation in management, marketing, accounting, finance, human resource management, economics, and business analytics. Designed for flexibility, the programme can be studied online or on campus in Armidale and includes opportunities for real-world experience through work placements, industry projects, and entrepreneurial initiatives.

The Bachelor of Agribusiness at UNE prepares students for careers across the agricultural value chain, combining business fundamentals with a strong focus on rural and regional enterprise. The programme covers applied economics, finance, marketing, production systems, and agritech, and includes practical learning opportunities through industry engagement and research centres.

The EFMD Programme Accreditation Board commended UNE Business School for the high quality of the online-learning environment and the excellent pedagogy demonstrated in the delivery of both Programmes.

Indian Institute of Management Jammu

The Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu) is a public, autonomous business school established by the Government of India in 2016 in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. As one of India’s Institutes of National Importance, it aims to nurture global leaders through rigorous academic and research programmes, including MBA, IPM, Executive MBA, and PhD in Management.

Operating from a temporary city campus and transitioning to a permanent 200-acre site in Jagti, IIM Jammu also runs an off-campus centre in Srinagar since January 2020. Its curriculum emphasises value-based education, regional and global research, strong industry collaborations, and a vibrant student life with numerous clubs and committees.

Master of Business Administration

IIM Jammu’s two-year, full-time residential Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is designed to develop ethically grounded, globally aware, and entrepreneurially minded professionals. Spread across six trimesters, the curriculum includes 64.5 credits of core courses in the first year, covering areas such as finance, marketing, operations, analytics, and strategy, along with a unique experiential course on “Happiness” and a Bharat Immersion Programme.

Students undertake an 8–10 week summer internship before the second year, focusing on elective courses across multiple disciplines, with options for independent study, dissertations, and international exchange. The EFMD Programme Accreditation Board commended IIM Jammu for its infrastructure—campus, residential facilities for both students and faculty, and the library—as well as for its above-standard student selection process.

La Salle International School of Commerce and Digital Economy (La Salle-URL)

The La Salle International School of Commerce and Digital Economy at La Salle Campus Barcelona—part of Universitat Ramon Llull (La Salle-URL)—offers internationally oriented undergraduate, master’s and executive programmes in commerce, digital business, innovation, data analytics, project management, supply chain and related fields.

The school emphasises technology, entrepreneurship and values-based education, with many programmes taught in English. It has been ranked among Spain’s top ten business schools by Forbes in 2024, and forms part of Ramon Llull University’s strong standing in Business and Economics, ranked third in Spain and second in Catalonia in the Times Higher Education 2025 subject rankings.

Undergraduate Degree in Management of Business and Technology

La Salle-URL’s Undergraduate Degree in Management of Business and Technology prepares students to lead in the intersection of business strategy and digital innovation. The programme combines core business disciplines—such as finance, marketing, and operations—with emerging technologies and digital tools reshaping global markets. With a focus on practical learning and international perspectives, students gain the skills to manage cross-functional teams, implement digital transformation projects, and navigate complex business environments.

Graduates are equipped to take on roles in both established companies and tech-driven start-ups. The EFMD Programme Accreditation Board commended La Salle-URL for its close working relationship with the world of practice and the student-centred ethos of the Programme.
