L’Oréal Brandstorm – the only EOCCS-certified youth innovation competition

The 32nd edition of Brandstorm, L’Oréal’s signature innovation competition for young people, has just launched. L’Oréal Brandstorm is L’Oréal’s Group’s signature innovation competition for young people. Brandstorm is one of L’Oréal’s longest-running programs, dedicated to helping youth kickstart their careers.

The competition takes place annually, and each year, it challenges young minds with a different topic, always based on the current business challenges. This year, Brandstorm’s mission is related to L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division: Reinvent the future of professional beauty through tech.

In partnership with Salesforce, L’Oréal Brandstorm provides online and offline upskilling and coaching for students and professors alike through teamwork, masterclasses and online resources developed by L’Oréal subject matter experts. It is the only EOCCS-certified youth innovation competition, and its educative value has been recognised by dozens of educators around the world who have integrated L’Oréal Brandstorm in their coursework at universities as a business case.

L’Oréal Brandstorm also acts as a veritable career accelerator, with thousands of Alumni working at L’Oréal today, including the company’s Chief Web3 and Metaverse Officer Camille Kroely. Last year alone, Brandstorm allowed over 500 participants to find their first career opportunity, and it gave access to L’Oréal’s network to many more.

Last edition, L’Oréal Brandstorm celebrated its 31st anniversary with a record-breaking 92,000 people from 72 countries registered in the competition and almost 700,000 participants in total since its creation in 1992. The International Final took place in Paris, where the top 3 teams got a chance to pitch their projects at VivaTechnology, the biggest tech conference in Europe, in front of a 400-person audience.

With its 2024 edition, L’Oréal Brandstorm will strive to engage 100,00 participants worldwide. The winners from 72 participating markets will be invited to London for the International Final to pitch in front of the executive jury presided by Omar Hajeri, President of the Professional Products Division at L’Oréal. The international winners will come to Paris for a 3-month intrapreneurship mission at the L’Oréal Group Headquarters in Paris, where, supported by L’Oréal experts, they will develop their projects.
