CEIBS – China Europe International Business School and EHL – École hôtelière de Lausanne

Ding Yuan, Vice President and Dean of CEIBS, reacted to the EFMD Programme Accreditation of the HEMBA Programme: “CEIBS is constantly evolving as a business school and making adjustments to its programme portfolio to suit the needs of a rapidly changing world and to equip students to thrive amidst complexities. The Hospitality EMBA is our newest programme and the first of its kind in China and combines CEIBS’ business expertise together with EHL’s hospitality management excellence. The EFMD accreditation of HEMBA Programme is another great milestone for CEIBS and demonstrates the School’s capacity to prepare the next generation of business leaders for China’s booming service industry in a global context. The accreditation also confirms that our joint programme meets the highest international standards for academic excellence.”

With its Hospitality EMBA (HEMBA) programme accreditation, CEIBS is one of the few international business schools to hold the EFMD Programme Accreditation alongside its institutional accreditation EQUIS. The HEMBA is an international programme that enables graduates to deepen their skills and expertise in managing service-intensive organisations, the hospitality sector, and generally all industries to develop excellence in services.

UiS Business School, University of Stavanger

The University of Stavanger (UiS) Business School is positioned as an internationally oriented business school with a strong regional identity. The School’s strategy is primarily inspired by the University’s international focus, connections with regional businesses and orientation toward societal changes. A distinct focus on research-oriented subjects characterises the Master of Science in Business Administration. The programme offers graduates a choice of 5 specialisations: Applied Finance, Economics, Strategic Marketing and Analytics,  Business Development and Innovation, and Leadership in a Digital Economy.

“The accreditation is not just a seal of quality. The accreditation process itself is also a method for further developing the School and improving quality. EFMD demands regular re-accreditation, which means that the UiS Business School must constantly improve and show that it deserves the accreditation. The programme accreditation is a step towards our long-term goal of becoming an internationally recognised business school. We will also focus on receiving an institutional accreditation,” says Ola Kvaløy, Dean of UiS Business School

College of Business Administration, UBT – University of Business & Technology

The College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology was one of the pioneer institutions to go through EDAF, the assessment and mentoring system for Business Schools and one of the first to receive the EDAF certificate of completion in June 2017. The programme is built on the University’s critical success drivers, including holistic student experience, high-quality market-driven programmes, impact-oriented research and deep engagement with the broader community.

“UBT family in general and CBA in specific is very proud of becoming the first business school in the Gulf Region to gain the prestigious achievement of EFMD Program Accreditation for CBA’s Bachelor of Science in Finance Program. Through this journey CBA’s BSc Finance Program has capitalised on its strong ties and partnerships with both the industry leaders and educational partners, focusing on research with tangible impact, deep engagement with the wider community, international qualified faculty and student body as well as international curriculum, which have all led to high employability rates of our graduates and is a true realisation of UBT slogan “Education for Job Opportunities”. In the coming years and to ensure our commitment to EFMD Program accreditation standards, we will continue our commitment to quality education, further expand our students’ international experience, further strengthen our impact on ERS through our commitment to annual reporting our accomplishment as an official signatory of PRME-UN initiative. After all and going through this fruitful accreditation journey, we would advise all business schools leadership and business programs directors to embrace the standards of the prestigious EFMD accreditation body, as its impact will assist us all in building responsible managers, professionals and the international citizens of the future,” commented Osama Jannadi, UBT President.
