Refreshed CLIP framework
The Corporate Learning Improvement Process (CLIP), EFMD Global’s accreditation scheme for the corporate world, got incepted in 2001. Since then, its framework of quality standards and criteria underwent several updates. The last review dates back to 2014, and as corporate learning practices have hugely evolved a new refresh was overdue.
We took this opportunity to not only capture new and emerging learning trends but to seek input on the value and relevance of our quality model and accreditation process from a broad range of stakeholders, to then engage in a fundamental re-design of the framework.
The new framework is significantly simplified and more balanced in its structure, and it follows a clear logic in the flow of its chapters. It again covers all relevant aspects of a modern learning organisation. The redesign task force was led by Steven Smith, outgoing CLO of Nordea Bank and Senior Advisor to EFMD. Our thanks go to him and all other members of the CLIP community who contributed so generously with time and expertise to this project.
The new version got ratified by the CLIP Steering Committee in its October meeting and will be valid for all new CLIP applications as of immediately.
