The Bank Indonesia Institute receives five-year CLIP re-accreditation

Corporate learning CLIP

We are pleased to announce that the Bank Indonesia Institute (BINS) has completed the EFMD Corporate Learning Improvement Process (CLIP) and received CLIP re-accreditation for five years.

CLIP is a premier quality management tool for corporate learning. It benchmarks a learning function against international standards of strategic positioning, target market, learning offer, operational model and impact with a focus on digital, agile and international aspects.

“Congratulations to the Bank Indonesia Institute on achieving CLIP re-accreditation. This recognition reflects Bank Indonesia’s exceptional commitment to learning, its integration of learning with talent management, and the fostering of a future-ready workforce to enable organisational success,” said Martin Moehrle, Director of Corporate Services and CLIP at EFMD Global. “The dedication of its leadership, innovative learning approaches, and robust research integration set a benchmark for excellence in corporate learning. BINS continues to exemplify how strategic investment in people and knowledge can drive both organisational and societal impact.”

Bank Indonesia Institute (BINS)

The Bank Indonesia Institute (BINS) is the strategic education and research arm of Bank Indonesia, dedicated to advancing central banking knowledge, policy development, and leadership capabilities. It supports the organisation’s mission by delivering comprehensive learning programmes in areas such as monetary policy, financial stability, payment systems, and digital economics. These programmes utilise blended learning, combining traditional instruction with project-based and experiential methodologies for a tailored educational experience.

BINS also conducts cutting-edge research on macroeconomic, monetary, and financial topics, which informs policymaking and addresses emerging economic challenges. It collaborates with leading researchers and institutions both domestically and internationally, enhancing the quality of its initiatives.

In addition, the institute fosters global engagement through strategic partnerships with central banks, academic institutions, and international organisations, further expanding Indonesia’s influence in economic policymaking.

Linking talent, leadership, and organisational goals

The CLIP Peer Review Team commended BINS for its strong corporate learning function, particularly for the active support it receives from top management. This involvement extends beyond technical training, encompassing leadership development, strategic foresight, and organisational values, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

BINS is also recognised for aligning its learning programmes with talent management, ensuring that training is closely tied to career progression. Initiatives such as performance evaluation systems and scholarships for advanced studies at prestigious universities contribute to its reputation as one of Indonesia’s top employers.

Through innovative learning methods like experiential learning and case studies, BINS effectively develops both practical and theoretical skills. Its outreach programmes, including award-winning internships, further extend its impact. The institute also benefits from the integration of research into learning, which ensures that its strategies are both relevant and forward-looking. These strengths make BINS a model for corporate learning and development.

“Receiving this 5-year CLIP re-accreditation status is a proud achievement for us at BI Institute, as it signifies our commitment to becoming a world-class corporate university. This achievement was only possible thanks to the extraordinary efforts and collaborations of all parties involved in Bank Indonesia’s learning and research initiatives, including the support from the Board of Governors, the BI Institute team, as well as all of our internal partners and external stakeholders,” said Yoga Affandi, Head of Bank Indonesia Institute.

“This also marks the continuation of said efforts and collaborations to strengthen our learning and research programmes. The dynamics of the current strategic environment in the digital era require us to be agile and adaptable, and we believe the valuable insights that we received during the re-accreditation process will solidify the path forward for BI Institute to realise its vision to become a world-class corporate university.”
