SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM), established in 1981 in Mumbai, is a key part of NMIMS University, which includes 17 schools across 8 campuses in India. With nearly 2,800 students, SBM focuses on developing leaders equipped with critical thinking, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Its mission is to foster integrity-driven leadership and contribute to the advancement of management theory through a research-oriented environment. The school’s strong ties with industry leaders ensure that students are well-prepared for the dynamic business world. Remarkably, emlyon Business School, Rotterdam School of Management, and London Business School were among the original EQUIS pioneer schools, obtaining their initial EQUIS accreditation in 1998.

EQUIS – EFMD Quality Improvement System

 EQUIS is a rigorous tool for business schools to assess, accredit and improve their quality in ten key areas, benchmarking them against international standards in terms of governance, programmes, students, faculty, research, and foremost, internationalisation, ethics, responsibility and sustainability, as well as corporate engagement. It offers a quality assessment and a quality improvement process, very much rooted in the mission of EFMD.
