Unlock the power of active learning online: Join the Engageli Impact Study

online learning

Engageli is thrilled to extend this invitation to participate in an impact study aimed at uncovering the true effects of active learning online on overall learning outcomes.

If you are passionate about learning and curious to discover how active engagement can influence knowledge retention, this is your chance to not only contribute to valuable research but also to enhance your own learning journey.

The importance of active learning

Active learning requires learners to engage in the learning process in meaningful ways. Unlike passive listening, active learning encourages interaction, discussion, and application of knowledge, making it a powerful method for improving understanding and retention.

Studies have shown that active learning leads to better performance, as it involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of concepts in real-world scenarios. In a meta-analysis of 225 papers published in PNAS in 2014, data on student outcomes comparing lectures to active learning, showed significantly improved scores in the active learning classes. It also showed that students are 1.5 times more likely to fail with traditional lecturing vs. active learning.

The challenge of active learning online

Fostering an active learning environment in online and hybrid settings can be a challenge. The lack of physical presence can make it difficult to engage learners effectively, especially when trying to use traditional video conferencing tools for learning.

However, we now have the means to create immersive and interactive online learning experiences. These tools allow for real-time collaboration, instant feedback, and personalised learning paths, making active learning more accessible and effective than ever before.

About the study

Engageli’s active learning impact study offers a unique opportunity to delve into how active engagement and participation affect knowledge retention. By joining one live session, participants will gain a new skill that will instantly improve their everyday wellness levels, as well as earn a chance to receive a gift card.
