We are delighted to have these two new programmes join the EFMD Accredited family, and we are looking forward to further our collaboration with these institutions.”

Bang College of Business, KIMEP University

Strong in its excellent regional reputation, Bang College of Business was created in 1992 in Kazakhstan. The College delivers business and management programmes that aim to fulfil its mission to prepare students to be committed professionals and lifelong learners and contribute to and take leading positions in business and society.

The said mission is well reflected in the Bachelor of Finance, a good programme which offers strong employment outcomes for its graduates.

Commenting on this achievement, Nejat Capar, Acting Dean of the Bang College of Business said: ‘We are very delighted as KIMEP University’s Bang College of Business to receive the Bachelor of Finance program accreditation by the EFMD. This makes KIMEP University the first and only institution to have received such an accreditation in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Since its foundation 30 years ago, KIMEP University has been a leader in Business Education in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. We are very proud to have been recognised by EFMD accreditation for our program and hope to continuously improve our programs and to provide quality education and research in the future.’

EMLV Business School

With a campus located at “La Défense”, the business district of Paris, EMVL is part of the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci. This connection with the university provides EMLV with a unique opportunity for a multidisciplinary approach.

As the second accredited programme of EMLV, the MSc in international Business is commended for the quality of its student and faculty. The programme aims to provide its graduates with the necessary skills to approach an international business environment, and combines an academic approach together with connections with the world of practice.

‘I would like to thank EFMD for renewing its accreditation for our Master in Management Programme for five years and awarding initial accreditation to our MSc in International Business. EFMD Accreditation confirms EMLV Business School’s unending commitment to continuous improvement. The process engaged all the School’s stakeholders: faculty, students, support staff, alumni, and corporate partners, among many others. I thank all our stakeholders for their involvement in reaffirming this essential international accreditation, and I would like to recognise EFMD’s important role in helping the School to reinforce these bonds that are essential in guaranteeing the quality of our programmes.’ Commented Sébastien TRAN, Director General of De Vinci Higher Education and Dean of EMLV.

About EFMD Programme Accreditation

EFMD Accredited is a comprehensive programme accreditation system for business and/or management degrees and courses, including face-to-face, blended and online provisions. It constitutes a benchmark for what is considered an internationally recognised and peer-reviewed programme.

Key values of the programme accreditation:

  • Respect for diversity: We believe in and respect different models of business programmes and business schools in our assessment and accreditation system.
  • An international dimension: We believe in the international dimension of business programmes. Programme content, teaching materials, delivery methods (including virtual interactions), together with international partnerships, and the diverse backgrounds of faculty and students alike, can all contribute to the students’ international learning experience.
  • Responsible management: We believe in the importance of ethics, sustainability and responsibility. Different elements should be embedded in each programme’s policies, operations, teaching and research.
  • Connections with practice: We believe in the practical relevance of programmes and look for practice-based learning experiences for students through project work, internships and the like. On top of that, the relevance of business programmes is illustrated and facilitated by the involvement of senior management and professional practitioners in governance structures, programme development, delivery and research endeavours.

The accreditation covers all facets of programme provision: from its institutional, national and international environment, through its design, delivery, outcomes and impacts, to its quality assurance processes.

EFMD Programme Accreditation helps schools strive for excellence in an ongoing improvement process following each accreditation or re-accreditation visit.
