Initial EFMD Programme Accreditation awarded to HSE Graduate School of Business (Moscow), the Institute of Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the School of Management, Universidad del Rosario

Warmest congratulations to HSE Graduate School of Business (Moscow), the Institute of Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) – National Research University, Higher School of Economics (HSE) and the School of Management – Universidad del Rosario for successfully completing the EFMD Programme Accreditation process.

Reacting to the Schools’ recent accomplishments, Barbara Sporn, Director of EFMD Programme Accreditation, commented:

With a focus on educating and developing globally competitive and socially responsible business leaders for Russia, the school’s educational model emphasises a project-based approach, dynamic teaching methods and the systematic internationalisation of the educational process.

This project-based approach is demonstrated by the Bachelor Degree Programmes Set: Bachelor in Business Administration and Bachelor in Marketing & Market Analytics. In addition to a motivated and committed faculty and student body, the programme set also benefits from strong corporate connections allowing for quick responses to the needs of the world of practice.

Institute of Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK), National Research University, Higher School of Economics (HSE), Russia

ISSEK is a leading institute in Russia in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation and is home to the third programme of the HSE umbrella to receive EFMD Programme Accreditation, the Master’s Programme in Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation. The programme benefits from a very distinctive asset that focuses on both the management of technology and innovation and on innovation and technology policies. Led by dedicated faculty members, the Master programme showcased excellent connections with the world of practice, academic rigour and a strong research focus.

‘EFMD International Accreditation of ISSEK Master’s Programme “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation” is a meaningful achievement for our team, which allows us to create value based on our research capacities. International standards of EFMD accreditation set high requirements to quality assurance in management education, aligning with those standards and the honour earned by our programme mean another stage for continuous improvement. It promotes targeting sustainable development goals achievement and efficient global partnerships to elaborate innovative solutions based on a cross-cultural experience. Educational activities facilitate implementation of research and business objectives, as well as provide support for exchange of best practices and business success cases. EFMD Accredited is a comprehensive programme accreditation system for business and/or management degrees and courses, including face-to-face, blended and online provisions. It constitutes a benchmark for what is considered an internationally recognised and peer-reviewed programme.

The accreditation covers all facets of programme provision: from its institutional, national and international environment, through its design, delivery, outcomes and impacts, to its quality assurance processes. EFMD Accredited emphasises academic rigour, practical relevance, internationalisation, ethics and sustainability. EFMD Programme Accreditation helps schools strive for excellence in an ongoing improvement process following each accreditation or re-accreditation visit.
