Initial EFMD Programme Accreditation awarded to Bissett School of Business, Goodman School of Business and MacEwan University School of Business

EFMD is pleased to announce that programme accreditation was recently awarded to Bissett School of Business, Mount Royal University, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Goodman School of Business, Brock University, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Co-op International Double Degree and MacEwan University School of Business, Bachelor of Commerce.

Barbara Sporn, Director of EFMD Programme Accreditation, reacted to the schools’ recent achievements: ‘We are delighted to see the schools’ commitment to the continuous quality improvement of their programmes rewarded. Each programme has demonstrated considerable strengths and has successfully achieved the EFMD programme accreditation process. Bissett School of Business, Mount Royal University

Offering education in all major management and business administration areas, Bissett School of Business is a well-regarded institution in Alberta. Driven by talented and inspired faculty and student-first values, the school has dedicated itself to providing education on the leading edge of global business trends and community relevance.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) demonstrates strong community engagement, experiential learning and links to the world of practice. With the ambition to help develop tomorrow’s business leaders who are ready to think critically, adapt to changing business landscapes and look beyond geographic boundaries, the Goodman School of Business offers programmes at both the undergraduate and graduate level. It provides hands-on experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom.

The quality of internationalisation achieved in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Co-op International Double Degree programme is to be commended. The programme delivers a robust international study experience supported by the international backgrounds and experience of the faculty and the School’s strong international partnership network.

The delivery of the Bachelor of Commerce is to be commended as it supports learners’ success for multiculturally and socially diverse student groups. The programme also incorporates work-integrated learning, applied/practice orientation, as well as a strong focus on ethics, responsibility and sustainability.

About EFMD Programme Accreditation

EFMD Accredited is a comprehensive programme accreditation system for business and/or management degrees and courses, including face-to-face, blended and online provisions. It constitutes a benchmark for what is considered an internationally recognised and peer-reviewed programme.

The accreditation covers all facets of programme provision: from its institutional, national and international environment, through its design, delivery, outcomes and impacts, to its quality assurance processes. EFMD Accredited emphasises academic rigour, practical relevance, internationalisation, and ethics and sustainability. EFMD Programme Accreditation helps schools strive for excellence in an ongoing improvement process following each accreditation or re-accreditation visit.
