Congratulations to Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management on being awarded the EQUIS accreditation.

The fundamental objective of EQUIS, in line with the mission of EFMD, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide. Its scope covers all programmes offered by an institution from undergraduate degrees up to the PhD programmes as well as any non-degree programmes. EQUIS accreditation ensures a rigorous quality improvement process and it benchmarks the school against a set of international standards in terms of governance, programmes, students, faculty, research, and foremost, internationalisation, ethics, responsibility and sustainability, as well as corporate connections.

Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management (GGFBM) is a well-established Faculty within the University of the Negev. Its work holds true to the university’s mission to become a knowledge centre and inspirer for the development of the Negev, and over the years, the school has developed a full range of innovative and interdisciplinary educational programmes.

“We are very proud to be the first Faculty in Israel to join the prestigious club of management and business faculties that are EQUIS accredited. It is a milestone in our striving for excellence in research and education and advancing our vision that ‘management leads society’,” said Miki Malul, Dean of Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

Thanks to its unique history and context, GGFBM has developed the mission of offering an academic platform to foster passionate leaders in business, public, health, tourism and the voluntary sectors. The school provides them with research-based skills, knowledge and tools to empower them to have a local impact, particularly in the peripheral Negev region, as well as on the national and global levels. A strong emphasis is placed on ethics, responsibility and sustainability, and these values can be found in abundance throughout the programme portfolio as well as being a specific focus of the faculty’s research activities.

Alfons Sauquet, Quality Services & EQUIS Director, reacted to the recent success: “We are pleased to have Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management join the pool of EQUIS accredited schools. We were particularly impressed by the emphasis the school places on ethics, responsibility and sustainability. We are happy to see the school’s continuous quality improvement in crucial areas of development and their commitment to ongoing advancement.”
