EOCCS gives online courses within universities, business schools, corporate learning organisations and public agencies a top international quality benchmark in the online learning landscape, strengthening not only their market positioning but also allowing for critical self-reflection and peer assessment.

The EFMD Certification Board granted the EOCCS re-certification to the following MOOCs:

– Managing People: Engaging Your Workforce from Henley Business School, University of Reading

– Penser Global, Grenoble Ecole de Management

Online learning tools and methods are well established at the Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM). The development of MOOCs at GEM was considered as a natural part of their intention to become recognised as experts in pedagogical innovation. “Penser Global” is an excellent course with good quality content and offering a unique learning opportunity to the participants. The course also benefits from an excellent review process which showcases GEM’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Julie Perrin Halot, Associate Dean & Director of Quality, Strategy and International Development at Grenoble Ecole de Management, commented on this achievement: “Grenoble Ecole de Management is extremely pleased to have renewed its EOCCS certification. The initial certification played an important role in assisting the school in measuring its MOOC against the highest standards of quality. This recertification has provided an opportunity to reassess and reaffirm areas of quality and those areas where we can continue to innovate and develop. A sincere thank you to the individuals from EFMD who continue to accompany us and to challenge us to always reach for the highest quality possible.”

Henley Business School is a well-established business school covering a full range of higher education from undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes. The MOOC Managing People: Engaging your Workforce has now been restructured into the following five courses: Managing People: Understanding Individual Differences; Managing People: Connecting Motivation and Performance; Managing People: Teamwork and Diversity; Managing People: Understanding Your Organisational Culture and Managing People: Assessment Course. The course group work encourages exchanges among students and the inclusion of case studies represents a valuable asset. Among other things, the constant evaluation process clearly demonstrates the school’s engagement towards quality improvement.

John Board, Dean of Henley Business School commented on this achievement: “We are delighted that our “Managing People” course has been re-certified and that we are among a small number of institutions to have the quality of our online learning recognised by EFMD through its prestigious EOCCS accreditation.
