for their recent EQUIS re-accreditations!

EQUIS accreditation has become widely recognised by potential students, employers, the wider business education industry and the media as the most holistic and rigorous accreditation process, often being a pre-requisite for entry to rankings.

The Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, made an excellent impression on the Peer Review Team in terms of its overall quality as evidenced by its mission-driven action. Since the last re-accreditation, the school has committed to the quality improvement of its faculty, staff, students and programmes.

“The school is very proud to receive the EFMD´s EQUIS re-accreditation for 3 years. The school wants to explicitly thank the EQUIS Peer Review Team members and the EFMD Awarding Body for the confidence in the school and for the valuable recommendations that will undoubtedly further help the school in its transition and strategic renewal. The Solvay Brussels School community is happy and proud to continue its active collaboration with the EFMD, especially so in the role of one of the founding fathers of the European Management University in Vietnam, an initiative supported by the EFMD and the European Commission,” commented Philip Vergauwen, Dean of SBS-EM.

The re-accreditation process highlighted the strengths of ICN Business School, including its involvement in the Artem Alliance. The school’s pedagogical approach, which puts the focus on personal development, creativity and experimentation, is praised by the students. The school offers a varied portfolio of programmes with strong quality and student satisfaction and has made significant progress in terms of international relations.

Católica Porto Business School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, is attracting good quality students and preparing them well for their post-university life. The school benefits from dedicated faculty, who are providing quality teaching, lifting research performance and maintaining strong links to the corporate community.

Martin Schader, Associate Director of Quality Services, praised the schools’ success: “We are happy to see the schools’ continuous quality improvement in crucial areas of development and commend the impact of clear strategies and initiatives of the institutions. The EQUIS accreditation means the schools hold onto their place as part of the elite group of business education institutions worldwide.”

EQUIS has now accredited 183 schools across 44 countries. More information is available on efmdglobal.org/equis.
