CLIP is a one-of-a-kind accreditation run by EFMD. It focuses on identifying the key factors that determine quality in the design and functioning of corporate learning organisations. The process aims at triggering continuous development and improvement of the corporate learning function. A self-assessment is followed by a rigorous peer review. We are delighted that METRO CLO has been granted the CLIP accreditation.
Christian Rippl, Director House of Learning at METRO CLO commented: “After 15 years of Corporate academy operations at METRO, CLIP has been the biggest strategic refresher in our L&D history. The CLIP process engages the complete ecosystem from the learner to the management board, and thus provokes crucial conversations on the effectiveness of a Corporate Learning Organization. CLIP is a feedforward endeavour that provides opportunities, explores improvements, and looks into future impact.”
METRO CLO showed a strong level of internationalisation with CLO team members coming from a number of the 26 countries in which METRO operates. The internalisation is clearly reflected in the learning content, practices and the composition of the team, which are fully representative of the geographic footprint of METRO. Additionally, we would like to commend METRO CLO for the level of accountability, professionalism and passion of its team.
Martin Moehrle, Director, Corporate Services, who leads the CLIP process at EFMD, commented: “EFMD is delighted that the METRO Corporate Learning Organization has successfully gone through the CLIP accreditation. I would like to congratulate METRO CLO for the involvement of its top management, the dedication of its team, the brand equity and the quality of its learning partnering as well as its learning design capability. We look forward to their contribution to the CLIP community.”
