We are delighted to welcome the Chulalongkorn Business School, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, to the pool of EQUIS accredited business schools!

The Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS) has developed a strong national reputation at the undergraduate and postgraduate level over close to eighty years and has pursued excellent academic development. It attracts high-quality students, has well-structured programmes and its graduates enjoy excellent job and career outcomes.

The Director of Quality Services and EQUIS at EFMD, David Asch, praised the school’s achievement: “We have noted new initiatives and continuous improvement that the school has experienced during the accreditation eligibility period. This commitment to continuous improvement is fundamental to the EQUIS accreditation and has been demonstrated in several aspects of the operation.”

“CBS is an example of strategic development of the school, building on excellent corporate relations that nurture both teaching and research.”

Pasu Decharin, Dean of the Chulalongkorn Business School, commented: “At Chulalongkorn Business School, the path to EQUIS accreditation started in 2011 when we began preparing ourselves by going through the EPAS journey for two of our programs. After the EPAS accreditation of our two programs, we set our goal for EQUIS accreditation. However, for us at Chulalongkorn Business School, the EQUIS process is not just an accreditation process. We viewed EQUIS as a key change driver in improving and developing our school.”

“From our EPAS experience, we knew our weaknesses and area for improvement that we needed to overcome for the EQUIS accreditation. It was a team effort from our faculty, staffs, students, alumni, and other relevant parties to improve our school especially in the area we identified as weaknesses. Achieving EQUIS illustrated the results of our hard work and this will be a great encouragement for everybody involved to keep developing and improving our school to maintain this high level of achievement and standard”.

There are currently no substitutes for such an in-depth assessment of quality. EQUIS has now accredited 182 schools across 44 countries. More information is available on efmdglobal.org/equis.
