Sincere thanks to everyone who made the EFMD Corporate Advisory Seminar a fabulous experience!
The Corporate Advisory Seminar (CAS) on Innovation in Leadership, organised by EFMD and hosted by L’Oréal, took place in Paris on 17-18 January at the L’Oréal headquarters.
The feedback from 40 learning professionals from 25 companies and 10 countries was very positive. L’Oréal was an incredible host, opening their doors and sharing openly their approach to shaping leadership for the future.
The event exposed participants of the wider EFMD community to the findings of the 2018 Special Interest Group (SIG) on Innovations in Leadership. Sponsored by Hult/Ashridge, the SIG brought together EFMD member companies La Baloise, Barry Callebout, Bayer, Engie, Essilor, Naturgy, Nokia, Repsol, Siemens, SwissRe, L’Oréal and UBS, who took a fresh look at a conducive context and innovative practices to develop effective leadership.
The group defined and agreed on eight beliefs as the foundation for effective leadership development. These beliefs were supported by an intense literature review and exemplified with numerous company cases. The SIG has been active since February 2018 and concluded its deliberations with this CAS. A report summarizing its findings will be published in due course.
Our attendees were intrigued and eager to engage in discussions on how companies can set on long-term strategies in an uncertain future while dealing with the immediate challenges of disruption and competition.
Among the distinguished speakers, we welcomed Nick Shackleton-Jones, Director of Learning & Performance Innovation at PA Consulting Group, and L’Oréal’s representatives, who presented their insights.
This was an inspiring and uplifting couple of days where people met and worked and shared in harmony and collaboration. Role modelling, good practices. Thank you one and all.
