EFMD would like to warmly congratulate the School of Economics and Business, University of Navarra who has recently been accredited by EQUIS!
Since its establishment, the School has developed in a line that is in concordance with its present mission to ‘serve society and improve the business world and the economy through excellent education and research.’
David Asch, the Director of EFMD Quality Services and EQUIS, noted: “The school excels in articulating business ethics and integrating this in all its operations. Moreover, the school has embraced a set of clear humanistic values as guiding principles for its actions thus establishing a common ethos and a strong common identity that is shared by faculty, staff, students and alumni, and that is recognised and appreciated by corporate members. The area of banking and finance has been developed into a field of excellence in both research and teaching.”
The Dean of School of Economics and Business, University of Navarra, Ignacio Ferrero Muñoz, shared his delight by saying: “The EQUIS accreditation process has truly helped us detect improvement areas, reinforce our strengths and do an in-depth revision of our processes. It has been an overall amazing experience, with everyone in the school coming together towards a common project, thus bolstering our team-spirit. The accreditation confirms that we are on the right path towards achieving our mission: ‘educating service-oriented business professionals, who, underpinned by ethical values, work towards a more sustainable society.’”
EQUIS is not only a quality assessment but also a quality improvement process, very much rooted in the mission of EFMD.
In its short history, EQUIS accreditation has become widely recognised by potential students, employers, the wider business education industry and the media as the most holistic and rigorous accreditation process, often being a pre-requisite for entry to rankings.
