EFMD recognises The Open University Business School’s generous contribution and support for EDAF development work

Contribution

EFMD extends its heartfelt gratitude to The Open University Business School (OUBS) for its contribution of 15,000 euros to support its Deans Across Frontiers (EDAF) programme.

This contribution will support EFMD’s development work operated via the EDAF process and benefit schools in emerging economies by helping them further their development and accelerate their international positioning.

“We are grateful to The Open University Business School for their substantial contribution to EDAF and the education community as a whole,” said Piet Naudé, EDAF Director. “It will have a great impact on future EDAF development.”

The contribution reflects OUBS’ commitment to investing in education and fostering growth in developing countries while supporting EFMD’s mission to promote and enhance excellence in management education globally. It also aligns with OUBS’ value of inclusivity and its goals of making higher education open to all and promoting social justice through the development of knowledge and skills.

“We are delighted that our gift can enable three schools – two in South America and the other in Asia – to benefit from the EDAF mentoring process,” said Professor Siv Vangen, Head of OUBS, which is celebrating its 40thanniversary in 2023. “It supports our commitment to deliver social mobility via our global community, something we’ve been aspiring to do for the last four decades.”

Currently, three institutions, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lima in Peru, ESEG – Escola Superior de Engenharia e Gestão de São Paulo in Brazil, and the Global Risk Management Institute (GRMI) in India, which are in the beginning stages of the EDAF process, will benefit from OUBS’ contribution.
