Ten Business Schools Successfully Renew EQUIS Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that the following schools have recently been granted EQUIS re-accreditation:

Alfons Sauquet, Quality Services & EQUIS Director, said, ‘Congratulations to all the schools for this achievement! The EQUIS re-accreditation recognises their leading role as business education providers. In an ever-changing world, these institutions showcase unwavering dedication to offering relevant and excellent education grounded in internationalisation, the world of practice, and sustainability. We look forward to witnessing the schools’ future endeavours with great excitement!

Accreditation plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and relevance of educational institutions, especially in the dynamic field of business education. While achieving initial accreditation is a significant milestone for a business school, re-accreditation motivates schools to remain adaptable and responsive to emerging trends and demands. EQUIS re-accreditation provides schools with the opportunity to reflect on their achievements and provides valuable feedback and benchmarking against international best practices, ensuring that institutions remain focused on delivering a high-quality education that meets the evolving needs of students and the business community.

Likewise, the attainment of EQUIS re-accreditation bolsters the reputation of business schools among students, employers, and the academic community. The ongoing commitment to meet the rigorous EQUIS standards demonstrates the school’s dedication to excellence and continuous improvement. The re-accreditation process serves as a testament to a school’s commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience and preparing students for successful careers in the business world.

Deans of the re-accredited schools reflect on their achievement:

Flávio Vasconcelos, FGV EBAPE Dean, expressed, ‘The EQUIS seal re-accreditation reinforces FGV EBAPE’s excellence – faculty, students and staff – beyond national standards and acknowledges its international reputation among the best Business Schools in the world. We are very proud of this reaccreditation moment and more committed than ever to EQUIS Quality Standards, which offer us an important compass for the schools’ strategy and new directions.’

John Finch, Head of School, University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business School, commented, ‘We are delighted that EQUIS has re-accredited the University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business school for a further five years. EQUIS accreditation has brought, and continues to bring, so many benefits to the School, especially in supporting and guiding our strategy process and our framework for our internationalisation.  We are marking the 300 anniversary of Adam Smith’s birth this year, and this, together with our EQUIS re-accreditation, has strengthened our confidence in the School’s positioning and vision.

Veneta Andonova, Dean, Universidad de los Andes School of Management, stated, ‘At Universidad de los Andes School of Management, we are pleased to receive for a second consecutive time the EQUIS reaccreditation for five more years. This is an international recognition of the digital transformation implemented in our academic and Executive Education programs, as well as the innovative pedagogical processes that have been incorporated into the school’s education model, that complement the immersive and practical experiences recognized by employers, students, and the international academic community. It is also an endorsement of our commitment to providing excellent education from Colombia to the world and training extraordinary citizens and professionals for leadership for life in Colombia and all over the world.’

Bernhard Ehrenzeller, President, University of St.Gallen, said, ‘The University of St.Gallen (HSG) is delighted to have received the EQUIS accreditation for another five years, just in time for the celebration of its 125th anniversary. Through reaccreditation according to the best and most comprehensive European quality standard for business schools, HSG reaffirms its commitment to excellence as an integrative business university that sets standards in research and teaching worldwide. What is particularly important to us about the accreditation is that through the peer review process and open discussions, we have gained valuable external perspectives on how we can maintain and enhance the excellence of the University of St.Gallen. We thank all internal and external stakeholders who have prepared and supported this process so passionately. It is precisely this focus on the future and continuous quality improvement that keeps us well-prepared beyond the anniversary year.’

Ian Fenwick, Director, Sasin School of Management, remarked, ‘We are once again proud to have earned EQUIS reaccreditation from EFMD,” said Sasin’s Director, Professor Ian Fenwick. “The rigorous accreditation process provides us with an invaluable opportunity to thoroughly review and analyze our programs and curricula, ensuring that we consistently meet and exceed the highest international standards of business education. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Sasin community for their commitment and dedication to this process, which played a pivotal role in achieving this significant milestone.’
