Two business schools, two countries, two degrees

double degree

For applicants struggling to choose between two institutions, courses, or even countries that they’ve always wished to study in, business education PR experts Stephanie Mullins and Kyle Grizzell from BlueSky Education take a look at a selection of double degree programmes out there that may offer the best of both worlds.

A double degree programme enables students to earn two degrees and experience living and studying in different countries. As well as the fantastic personal benefit of experiencing different cultures, studying business and management topics in different contexts is also a bonus in a world that is increasingly connected.

Here is a selection of business schools offering double degree programmes:

The University of Mannheim Business School, Germany

The Mannheim Master in Management (MMM) double degree programme allows students to spend their first two or three semesters studying at the University of Mannheim Business School (UMBS) in Germany. Their remaining semesters are then spent at one of eight partner schools abroad, including ESSEC Business School, Copenhagen Business School, NHH Norwegian School of Economics, and more.

Through this course, graduates will obtain a Master in Management from UMBS and a second internationally recognised degree from their chosen partner school. As well as receiving two degrees, graduates will also be included in the alumni networks of both schools, increasing job opportunities in each country and internationally.

King’s Business School, UK

Graduates of King’s Business School’s double degree programme will gain a Masters’s in International Management from King’s and one of three chosen Masters’s programmes at LUISS Guido Carli in Italy: A Masters in Management, Corporate Finance, or Global Management and Politics.

Students on this programme will also have access to career support and a full range of co-curricular options at both institutions to enhance employability skills, as well as extra-curricular activities. In partnering with LUISS, students benefit from the school’s particular strengths and connections in manufacturing, fashion, and luxury goods. This programme is open to five students per year already studying the King’s Masters in International Management.
