Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, United Kingdom

Babson College, United States for their recent EQUIS re-accreditation!

On behalf of EFMD, Martin Schader, the Associate Director of Quality Services, commented: “Congratulations to all the successfully re-accredited schools. They continue in their vision of providing high-quality education and research in the continuously changing environment.”

EQUIS is a rigorous tool to assess, certify and improve the school’s quality in ten key areas, including governance, programmes, students, faculty, research and, foremost, internationalisation, ethics, responsibility and sustainability as well as corporate engagement.

The expanded coverage of Ethics, Responsibility & Sustainability reflects the need for business schools to contribute to the resolution of societal challenges and to act as ‘good citizens’ in the environment in which they operate.

Catherine Cassell, Dean of Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, said: “This is an excellent outcome for the business school and recognises our commitment to both the provision of high-quality education and ground-breaking research. We are particularly pleased with how the panel noted and celebrated our commitment to responsible business throughout all of our global education and thought leadership activities.”

The achievement consolidates the Birmingham Business School’s position amongst a handful of business schools in the UK that hold triple-crown accreditation from EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.

The top-ranked college for entrepreneurship education, Babson is a dynamic living and learning laboratory where students, faculty, and staff work together to address the real-world problems of business and society.

Mark P. Rice, Provost of Babson College, stated: “Babson’s mission statement reflects our commitment to having a global impact, i.e. Babson College educates entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value – everywhere. Hence, we are thrilled to continue to be accredited by EQUIS, and are appreciative of our positive and productive engagement with the EQUIS staff and our EQUIS peer review team.”

Leeds University Business School has achieved a further five-year EQUIS re-accreditation. This important accolade reaffirms its position as a top international business school.

Peter Moizer, Executive Dean, said: “I am very pleased that Leeds University Business School has been given EQUIS accreditation for a further five years. This award is much valued by staff, students and alumni of LUBS. It is a great testament to the drive and dedication of LUBS staff as well as the achievements of our students.”

EQUIS has now accredited 183 schools across 44 countries. More information is available on efmdglobal.org/equis.
